A PB is a Personal Best. In the US it might be more common to say PR (Personal Record). It refers to a runner’s best time in a race type of a specific distance and terrain. Runners usually have PBs for different race distances and types, from a one mile track run to marathons or beyond. Runners might also talk about their SB (Season Best): The road race season in the UK is more or less between late March/early April and October though you can still find lots of races to do during the colder months!
