Victory for JEP in Cambridge Half Marathon

The popular annual Cambridge Half Marathon was won by C&C’s Jonathan Escalante-Phillips (JEP) with a time of 01:06:12. He was followed by Peter Molloy, in a time of 01:06:21, while Kurt Taylor was third, with a time of 01:06:40.

The top three female runners were Sarah Potter, with a time of 01:13:48. Holly Archer was in second place, in a time of 01:15:43, followed by Ella Fennelly in third with a time of 01:16:22.

Martin Kilduff (featured in the main picture) completed the Cambridge half marathon on Sunday, came first in his age group 75-79, and his time was 1:51:47, which might be a club record, although slower than he wanted.Β 

Katy Shaw , a member of our disability athletes group ran her first race over the distance with a finishing in a time of 2:02:31.

Starting from Midsummer Common, the route took runners through the historic centre of the city of Cambridge, including King’s College, Queens’ College, Jesus College, Grantchester village, and the Fitzwilliam Museum.
