Like many sports clubs, we can only operate with the goodwill of many people helping out in many positions throughout the club.

We expect most parents to volunteer to help in some capacity while their children are with the club; and it’s common for families who are more active in the club to feel much more engaged and get greater enjoyment from athletics. We have lots of opportunities for volunteering and, wherever possible, we run rotas to share the tasks out fairly.

Please contact either the coaching co-ordinator or the officials representative for further details. Also please register as a volunteer at our Membership page here.

Officials and coaches

Behind every competition there is a team of heroes, and you can be one of them.

Do you want to ensure that our athletes will have opportunities to compete in future. If so, please support them by getting involved in athletics. Put simply, without officials and coaches there will be no competitions for our athletes next season.

Become an official or coach. Develop lifelong friendships and skills. There is so much more to being an official or coach than meets the eye.

Coaches and athletes at an event can be the catalyst for inspiring the next generation of individuals to progress the sport in all its forms. (The club will pay for your course and provide items of club-branded clothing)

Every part of the athletics experience links together and officials can bring about positive change and experiences that can result in athletes achieving personal bests, medals or just enjoying their events.

Cambridge & Coleridge Athletics Club’sΒ codes of conduct follow those set out by UK Athletics.
