The second Frostbite Friendly of the season on Sunday 7th November attracted 450 senior and 150 junior runners from the participating clubs. Hunts AC and PANVAC placed first and second in both senior and junior races, with PACTRAC and Thorney placing third in the senior and junior races respectively.
C&C Juniors placed 6th reflecting an impressive performance by Harrison Pearson, Zac Williams-Gray, Stephanie Birkwood and Thomas Jennings, who were one member short of a full team. The Juniors are in 4th position (down from 2nd) at this stage in the league.
Eighteen seniors ran and the team finished in 7th position. This places C&C in 3rd position overall at this stage.
Inspiring performances of the day: Harrison Pearson ran 1.5 miles in 8:04, following a visit to Nottinghamshire for the XC Relays the day before; and VW 70-75 Diana Braverman smashed her target finish time of one hour by over five minutes. Well done both – rest up and recover well.
The next Frostbite Friendly is on 12th December at the bucolic Hinchingbrooke Park. Any Club member can take part, providing you wear your vest. More details here: https://www.frostbiteleague.org.uk/ and see the C&C Endurance Runners Facebook page for transport sharing opportunities.
