Alex Melloy travelled to Loughborough to run at the Loughborough Open hoping to qualify for the European U20 Championships. The qualifying standard is 8 minutes 20. Alex ran a great race and led with 20 metres to go but unfortunately he tripped. Amazingly he got up and although finished third he still achieved the qualifying time with a big PB of 8.16.97. Congratulations to Alex on such a gritty and determined run.
Adam Cross also competed at Loughborough in his first 100m race of the season running 10.91.
