The club has recently had some amazing news that will provide an exciting opportunity for athletes with disabilities.
RaceRunning is a new sport for athletes with disabilities and has just been accepted as a paralympic event. Watch out for it at the world athletics championships this autumn. A RaceRunner is essentially a big trike that athletes push in a running action rather than using pedals. It’s exciting, accessible to lots of different people and very cool.
C&C have received a grant for £10000 from the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation on behalf of the Highways England ‘A14 fund’, including some matched funding from the Greater Cambridge Athletics Network. The funds will be used to purchase four RaceRunners.
