BUCS OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Bank Holiday weekend saw the annual BUCS Outdoor Championships take place at Bedford. Once again the weather was not kind to the athletes with cool temperatures and strong winds.

Samuel Clarke competing for CUAC, continued Β his great form in the 400 hurdles finishing second in his heat against strong competition to qualify for the semi finals where he ran sub 55 seconds for the first time to set a new PB of 54.98. Samuel is currently 4th in the U20 rankings and very close to the Club record that has stood since 1971!

Catriona Marriott also competed well for CUAC in the 400m narrowly missing out on the semi finals.

Jordan Wood representing Cardiff Met ran well in the 3000m Steeple Chase qualifying for the final where he finished 7th.

Emma Clarke ran a PB in the 400m hurdles which is a new event for her this season.
