Track and Field Competition

Below is a listing of some the various types of Track and Field league and Championship competitions available to C&C athletes.

A very detailed description of these and other available competitions, and indication of the standard of each event is given in the Competition handbook (click on it)

Eastern Young Athletes League (all athletes under 17)

Division 1, 5/6 matches during the season - Sundays

Southern Athletics League (Senior Men's and Senior Womens specifications only)

Division 2E, 5 matches during the season - Saturdays

East Anglian League (all age groups)

5 matches during the season - Sundays

Eastern veterans League (Over 35's - midweek league)

4 matches on wednesday evenings with 3 male and 3 female age categories

Cambridgeshire AA Championships

Mid May - All age groups - Cambridgeshire athletes only

Eastern Counties Championships

Late June - events for all agegroups - East Anglian athletes only

South of England championships

Under 17's and under 15's mid August

Seniors/U20's normally mid June

English Age-group championships

Under 15's, Under 17's, Under 20's, Under 23's and Seniors - various dates

  • European Under 18 3000m champion +

    Thomas Keen has become the 2018 European 3000m under 18 Champion. Congratulations to him and his coaches.

  • English Schools 2017 +

    Congratulations to our English Schools medallists. Thomas Keen (U17M 3000m), Julia Paternain (U20W 3000m) and Adelaide Omitowoju (U17W Triplejump) all took gold, and Stephanie Browne took silver in U15Girls Hammer. Unlucky Jordan Wood was 4th in the U20Mens steeplechase.

    C&C had 16 competitors in the Cambridgeshire team and one in the Bedfordshire team.

Car park 8 is now open from 4pm daily and all weekends.

Important Notices

NOTE: On Tuesday 20th November, the track and jump pits will be out of action due to no flood lights (the generator is broken). Please only come to the track if your group trains off-site.

NOTE: The 2018 AGM will be held on Tuesday 27th November upstairs at the pavilion from 8:15. Drinks will be served from 8pm. The agenda is here and last year's draft minutes here. Please attend if you can so we can deal with the important business of running the club.
