Joining the club

The club welcomes all athletes whatever their standard. We are keen to give everyone an opportunity to try athletics, including road running, cross-country running and fell running as well as track and field. Our members range in age from 10 to over 80 and everything in between.

Athletics is a late-development sport and we have a lower age limit. Young athletes aged 11 or over on the 31st August can join C&C; to be members, young athletes must therefore be in school year 6 or above.

Please note that young athletes (aged under 15 on the 31st August in the competition year) must attend an induction evening before they can join the club. Details are given on the 'How to join page' in this section.

If you're an adult and interested in starting track and field athletics, or in moving here from another club, please get in touch with This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to make sure someone will be around to help you.

If you're interested in road running, please come along to one of our Monday or Tuesday training sessions and join in. Check our road running pages, and look at the Run Cambridge link for further details.
