Frostbite Cross Country League

Frostbite is a series of 6 races over the winter, providing a good introduction to off road running on a Sunday morning. The 5-6 mile courses are a mix of road and off-road running not always suitable for spikes. The senior race, starting at 11am, follows a junior race of 1.5 miles which starts at 10.15am. This is a team event with 3 women and 7 men (1 girl and 4 boys) to score.

Runners (seniors and juniors) should hand in their finishing numbers to the C&C Frostbite Team Manager and register with them before the start. They’ll be wandering around trying to look helpful and whenever possible will have the club flag to mark their location.

A brief note for parents of young athletes – youngsters can just turn up and run and we encourage that. Our primary winter league is the Essex League but we’re keen for as many members as wish to run in the Frostbite to do so. They’re enjoyable friendly races. If you’re unable to find a C&C person, don’t worry, just go to the start and compete. In the unlikely event of no-one being there to collect numbers, please take the initiative and collect the C&C numbers – check in with the race organisers who’ll explain what is needed.
